Ring in the New Year with Mojito Tea

The New Year weekend is here! It’s the time of indulgence and hangovers, but it doesn’t always have to be this way. Since the year begins on a Monday, we’ve got a simple and healthy mocktail recipe to start off your year on a refreshing note, courtesy Darshana from Enerjuvate. No fancy ingredients, no complicated processes. Just a refreshing mojito tea.

About the blend:

After 8 is a tisane or an herbal or fruit infusion with leading notes of Spearmint, Apple and Fennel. Tisanes are caffeine free and enjoyed around the clock. The fruits we use in Ausum Tea blends are fully dehydrated in-house starting with locally sourced fresh fruit and no added sugar or preservatives. For a daily Vitamin boost with Apple and Orange, drink a cup of After 8. Layer it with Ginger and Fennel that act as natural stress relievers and digestives.

Here is the full recipe of the mojito tea:

Ingredients:

  • 1 big tumbler of brewed and chilled Ausum Tea’s After 8
  • 10 pcs of fresh mint
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp each of very finely chopped apples and oranges
  • 4 tbsp of jaggery syrup
  • 1 tbsp of dark chocolate chips

Method:

Mix all the ingredients except the tea thoroughly first with a spoon for a minute. Then pour in the chilled tea and ice cubes and top with a few sprigs of fresh mint. Your After 8 mojito tea is now ready to serve!

About the chef:

Darshana is the co-founder at Enerjuvate along with Sunanya, who challenged themselves to come up with a concept cafe with high energy and nutritious food. This was the idea behind the Enerjuvate Studio and Cafe, which has two branches in Bangalore – in Jayanagar and Koramangala.
